Cool PET AIR: The World's First Pet Only Airline

PET-AIR: The World's First Pet Only Airline
Home | Pet Airways

Ahhh, ran across this and at first thought it to be joke. Guess it's not! Next, I thought about the small aircraft they must be operating to be profitable (then checked it out). They are flying 727's (plus smaller others) for god sakes, mostly old birds but whatever. Here I am fearing the F-word b/c of the economy, and yet here is "Rex and Lassie's owners" paying to put them on any of 20 different a/c to globe-trot with their own f/a's and airport lounges no less. Now I probably wouldn't fly my pet in reg. air carrier cargo, but I'm not going to buy him a tix on his own flight either. Amazing how there are markets out there in biz for this stuff. Oh the irony, I don't know whether to laugh or cry...

Quotes:

"You see, on Pet Airways, your pets aren't packages, they're "pawsengers." And every step of the journey, we'll take care of them as if they were our own. Because that's exactly the way we'd want Zoe to be treated."

"Our air operations group consists of a 20 plane fleet of Falcon 20, Convair 580 and 5800 and B- 727-100 aircraft. Our planes are operated under part 121 and part 135 of the FAA regulations and have had an exemplary record of safety for over 30 years, with experience flying throughout the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Caribbean and South America."

What an incredibly wonderful idea!
Why, just the other day, my darling friend Bruce, who just happens to be a State of California licensed pet communicator and empathic specialist, was telling me all about how my Alaskan Malamute would just love to take surfing lessons!
Seems Mr. Puffles has been a bit down in the dumpy wumpys lately with all these darn grey skies and snow we've been getting up here near the Arctic Circle. Poor Mr. Puffles.
Do you know if this wonderful new airline flies to Fiji?

Tonight, Mr. Puffles is happily dreaming of his upcoming trip to Fiji on PET Air. Sun, Sand, Surfboards, and Flight Attendants with dog treats at his beck and call...
