Can Airline Pilots read books/newspapers/magazines during cruise?
Are airline pilots technically allowed to read books and other materials during the cruise portion of the flight? I know that pilots love flying, but I think most would admit that it can get boring, especially during cruise.

Most companies have a rule which technically allows you to read only "company material" in cruise flight.
Let's just say that the definition of "company material" is pretty loosely interpreted in actual practice
Obviously if it's safe to read company literature, it's pretty much equally safe to read anything else.

That's pretty much what I expected. Thanks Rickair!
