I actually someday want to get my hands on an AK-47. Those guns are just too cool. Mabye I'll get the chance to work in Africa and bring one home haha..

Those belong to a friend, I built a few of them including the two in the foreground from cherry STG-58 parts kits, the real pride though was the right center using liquid nitrogen cooled magnets and a high order chemical reaction to accelerate a .1 gram mass to 20 kilometers per second. Unfortunately they were all lost in a tragic boating accident in a glacier fed lake about 1500 feet deep that remains frozen 11 months of the year.

Um, isn't that the definition of a rail gun?

I've always wanted to get my hands on a Famas. I'd do just about anything to own one of those.

Just my attempt at humor.

The Famas-the French have unusual design parameters, the end user is never expected to fire the rifle and only drop it once. If you must have a bullpup design, I would suggest the Steyr Aug. I find these design types rather muzzle light and got rid of the two I owned.
I good quality AR is very hard to beat in the universe of poodle shooters. It has remained the predominate platform in the free world for a very long time.

I've always like the Famas because it's the best looking rifle IMO. The problem is there are very few civillian legal versions available so it's rather expensive to buy one. I don't really like the way the Aug looks, but there is a company that makes high quality civillian versions, so I might buy one of those sometime.

As for France:
