Or on a serious note...a cruise to the mediteranean or something along those lines. 7 days, 10 days whichever you two could spare. Cost will be about the same as a new piece of jewerly but you will both benefit from the R and R and the experience alot more than a piece of jewelry.

A cruise or a trip/vacation somewhere would be a really good idea. Like mentioned both take advantage of it, and make great memories. IMO something like that is WAY better then some lame piece of jewelry that will just shine on her wrist or finger or neck.

Here's what tradition says:
20th Anniversary Traditional Gift:
China. It symbolizes the beautiful, elegant, and delicate of your love for one another over the past 20 years.
20th Anniversary Contemporary/Modern Gift:
Platinum. Platinum is strong and enduring, just like your 20-year old marriage.
20th Anniversary Gemstone:
Emerald or a yellow or golden diamond.
20th Anniversary Color:
Emerald green or white.
20th Anniversary Flower:
Day Lily.

For my 20th anniversary last year, I got both a cruise and one of those lame pieces of jewelry.
Hmmmm, I just noticed something about the ads. They seem to be pretty smart because the ads I see when posting on this thread is about anniversary gifts like crystal vases and not getting your JAA in London for only 3999 pounds sterling. So cute.

A posh vacation would be really nice, but if you only have 10 days left to spare and you both have jobs, that might be a little tough to work out... a raincheck, maybe? lol.
What kind of lady is she?
I really can't see how you could go wrong with jewelry. Every woman loves jewelry, even it all it does is "just shine on her wrist or finger or neck." But if you go that route, it must be a piece that reflects her style. Is she an elegant pearl necklace kind of lady, or a bright bold costume ring? A beautiful pair of diamond studs is a classic.
oh, maybe you could get her a day at a really nice spa so she could pamper herself? everyone loves getting pampered but most moms rarely get a chance. although, a a gift certificate for a spa is more like a birthday present. or maybe you guys could even take a romantic weekend trip to one of those hotels up in the mountains or lakeside somewhere that offer great spa packages.

Well not LAME, but you know what I mean. Gifts like that are always nice, but IMO making memories on vacations or having some adventure is WAY better then jewelry, if you have the funds to do both then thats an even better idea. hehe
