Yeah, sure. Put 10 guys together, 9 making minimum wage and 1 making a million a year. Statistically, they're all making out like fat cats...

(I need to brush up on my mean, median and mode...)

Notice the article was from 2003. We weren't overpaid then, and we damn sure aren't now. Funny that it mentions that Southwest pilots are paid 40% less than those greedy ol' Delta guys.

Curious why you dug up a 5 year old article? Anyway, I'm surprised my profession (ATC) didn't make the cut. Afterall, Bush&Co decided we were overpaid, and cut new-hire pay by 30%, as well as robbing me from yearly raises THAT MANAGEMENT STILL RECEIVES! That translates into thousands of less dollars towards and in, retirement.

They mention Longshoremen as overpaid. Sorry, but after watching a show on Discovery, those guys earn it. Sit in a crane all day and move tens of millions of dollars worth of merchandise, into and out of ships that are mammoth in size and cost. Nothing more than a case of sour grapes, from an "underpaid" reporter...

I didn't dig it up. I was checking business news and google linked me to the marketwatch website. It was on a list of articles listed on the site.
