I am still sticking to my first pick of Pittsburgh in 6. Playing Detroit is much different than any of the Eastern teams. I have been a Pittsburgh fan since the day I was born and know they will take this in 6. The next 2 games are at home. So far we have not even closely lost a game there. I also know that for this series, home will be even more of a boost for the Pens. After a 2 game losing streak, they want this more than ever. I would not hesitate to bet on them winning both at home. However, I think that no more than 3 goals will be scored total by both teams and overtime is very likely. With the momentum that will be brought by tieing up the series at home, they will take that to Detroit in game 5 and will prevail. Then it is off to game 6 at home which they know will have to be the LAST game otherwise the season is OVER! Like I said, Pens in 6!!!

Sorry man--I would never have thunk it but with Pittsburg down 2-0 and not being able to score a goal (they didn't even get thier first shot on net until the powerplay) --well, things are looking grim. I picked Pittsburg in a short series, Detroit if it went long (I know it seems backwards figuring the young guys). But Detroit has a LOT of experience. They won't (and don't Panic)
They (Pittsburg) are a young team and full of promise-sometimes in a hockey, great dynastys start with a loss.
A year before the Islanders historic run in the 80's they took a stunning defeat. They learned and it made them stronger.
Same thing with the Oilers right after the Islanders--
Pittsburg can still do it but the hole is getting deep--
