To the ones that moved on
Lately there has been a lot of chatter about leaving aviation and persuing other careers. I'm interested to hear from those that ended up leaving the airlines to something else.
What have you all been doing since you left the airlines?

I'll bite. I was talking with another Dad at my son's ballgame last fall. He said 'I used to be a pilot'. We went on for awhile (used to fly for SW I think...all NW routes). He is now a Fireman with the City department. I asked him why he left aviation. He said 'could not pay the bills and feed my family'. He has been a fireman here in the local community for the last 8 years. First wife, two great kids, drives a Denali and has a 4-Broom house. Said that he 'misses flying' but is now a much happier man.
