Default pen flying

heard a story the other day of a guy who sent an application into a regional stating he had the hours needed when he really didnt.. when he got an interview, he pen flew close to 70TT and an extra 30 multi to make up for what he lied about... now, i know there are some that do this, and often, but is it common practice in the industry these days given the competitiveness of getting a job a small regional just to jump start your career...
.. by the way, he never got caught and was recently hired

.. im a young pilot working my way up and while im workin on my commercial, i have seen tons of CFI's inflate their numbers.. why dont the FSDO's look at logbooks to make sure they are accurate to some account...

lack of man power on the FSDO side... there are a lot of us pilots out there and not enough of the FSDO guys out there. For example I have 894TT and have been honest with my flight times and may I add.. still do not have a job. Now in my years of flying I have know a lot of people how are lets say liberal with their times and they have a job. FSDO or no FSDO it is still "your" job to be honest, not the governments.

Remember keep the blue side up!
