Airplane Graveyard
Not being posted in the photo section because I found it on google maps, so it's obviously not my picture. Can you name all the planes?

Great picture. I actually did the tour there 3-4 years ago and it was pretty cool. Although I have to tell you it is so sad to see so many great airframes there wasting away or being chopped up.

Davis-Monthan AFB
It's DM, in Tuscon. Airplanes visible directly from the link:
C-141Bs, C-130s, F-111s. Pan a little and you can see B-66 or A-3 (depending upon whether it was USAF or Navy, B-52s, KC-135s, and scads of F-4s.
When I parked my Phantom there in 1996, there were 1700 F-4s in the Boneyard. Yes, 1700.
You'll see just about every active and recently deactivated airplane there.
It is actually easy to tow the airplanes. They get de-fueled and are fairly light; the dirt packs down as hard as adobe, so unless it has rained recently, it is easy towing.
I hate this place. I hate seeing airplanes broken apart and turned into coke cans.

Long layover in Tuscon?
If you have some time in Tucson, visit the Pima Air Museum (adjacent to D-M). Fantastic collection of vintage airplanes. Another good site is the Titan missile silo museum about 25 miles to the south. Makes you real glad you didn't draw that assignment!

Man there's a ton of aircraft there. How do the tugs get them into place with the desrt conditions? You'd think they would be very hard to move off the tarmac.
check out motoart.com they do amazing things with those planes.

Ditto on this, I drug my wife to both places after visiting the boneyard. I thought they were all great visits.

ATP,
You missed the: A-4, A-10, B-1, F-18, F-15, P-3, E-2, S-3, C-5, T-37, T-38, F-16, A-6, A-7 and I found a couple civilian B707's parked by some old 135's.
I believe there are a few F-102's maybe they're F-106's and several F-80's not to mention all the helicopters. Just to name a few...
