Really neat video of a race. I can't figure out how to set up a poll. Before you race starts, come back and post which one you think will win.

nice vid!! I was sure the car was going to win because I understood the explanation as the plane was going to land and roll past the finish line. I didn't think that was possible. Ofcourse the plane is going to win!!

Top Gear is a great show despite being a BBC production :P

Sweet race, best I've seen yet between a jet and a car.

Best one I ever saw was a 1/4 mile between a P-51 and a corvette ZR-1. I assumed the vet would smoke the mustang off the line and win by a good margin, but the vette never had a chance. It lost the hole shot and it only got worse after that

Also, you have to remember that the previous time this particular presenter (Richard Hammond, known as "The Hamster") drove at high speed along a runway, he barrel-rolled his car at 288 mph (yes, nearly two hundred and ninety!!) and came within a whisker of killing himself!

As an aside, Top Gear is sold globally by the BBC and has an audience of over a billion people. It won a Grammy last year.
