What if you are interviewing for a position at Syracuse University? Or the Cincinatti Bengals?

I'd rather wear orange socks than be one of "those guys" with white socks. Yes sir.

Well, if I have an interview at FedEx, I would wear one orange sock and one purple sock! But now that frozenboxhauler has made me an Honorary Member of the Order of Sleepless KNights, I guess I can wear orange socks whenever I want to.

Seriously, however, take care in how you dress and behave at interviews. First impressions make a big difference. It's not right, but it's the way of the world. And if you want to play the game, you have to get your ticket punched and follow the rules, no matter how inane or illogical.

My most important interviews are in Carharts and a canvas shirt. Pay was way better than any shirt and tie interviews I've ever been to....!
