Question about an infraction
#12
It's true some folks get restricted off the professional forums. The intent of the site is to give professional pilots a place to discuss things. If a person who is not a professional pilot contributes in a negative way at an airline pilot forum, it's understandable that we would try to find a way to put a stop to that. We don't want to necessarily stop that person from posting at the whole site, just not at the professional forums.
In any case, I don't believe this happens very often.

Oh no; my bag!!! I wasn't referring to you. At times during the day when I'm at work and I want to respond to something...say in the Regional thread....I'm unable to at times and at times...I am.
It's all good. I'm not a professional pilot.....YET!!!
Still have to abide by the rules though.

Let's see how many I can rack up today. . . j/k!
Posting a link to an eBay auction, NOT just a "store" as specifically stated in the rules, and you will get an infraction.
The fun part is the annoying reminder stays up for an unknown amount of time despite expired status. A software bug? Feature?
BTW, the search feature is inop tonight.

Good question. I'm not really sure it's addressed anywhere.
Warning don't count for anything. Infractions vary in number of "points" for certain offenses. For example, racial or advertising infractions are more than one point. Insults, flamebait, and inappropriate language, all count for one point. If you get 10 points, the forum software bans you for two weeks. If you get four infractions (warnings don't count), no matter the point total, you also get banned for two weeks.
