The funniest thing that didn't get heard on the radio:

About 10 years ago, a co-worker (controller) was working the sector, when he starts yelling for the supervisor, because the planes "can't hear me" "My transmitter's bad!!!"....Actually, he had inadvertantly stuck the end of his mic boom into his jelly donut as he was eating it, and plugged it up with jelly-filling.

Now that was funny!

NO KIDDING! I was on the Boston Shuttle tonight and we may have heard he same thing. Was the Cape Air a female voice? We heard her give a few outstanding radio calls.

Default Congrats on making it 3 years!

at BOS a while back during winter-

Gnd-AA123 wait for execjet, then follow to rwy.

AA pulls out anyway and says "Sorry, I just couldn't stop for that little corporate jet"

Twr-AA123 position and hold, rwy 9.

Execjet 123-Hey tower, can you let AA know I think I see some ice still back there near his tail.

After a few seconds of silence where you know everybody was laughing there heads off, Twr-AA123, what are your intentions?

in a disgusted voice, AA123-I guess I'm going back to the de-ice pad.

Twr-roger AA123 taxi clear and contact ground. Execjet 123, you're cleared for take-off!

After a couple of delaying vectors ATL ctr told the DAL jet ahead of us,

"We're trying to avoid holding, so we are just sort of, "massaging the line.""

Delta came right back with, "I don't mind the massage, I just hope it leads to a, "happy ending".

While doing touch and goes on 34R at VNY, I was told to "XXXSL, expidite climb to pattern altitude." I was in a C-150, not the best in climb. I came back with "XXXSL, my JATO bottles are empty, I'll give you everthing she's got."

Tower was not pleased, and would only clear me for full stop taxi backs after that. Ooops.
