Default camcorders

I'm about to do my IFR long XC, and would like to film some of it with my mini DVD camcorder. Does any one have a nice way to mount it. I'm flying a C-172N. Was thing of trying to duck tape it down onto the dash, or make a stand for the back seat but I don't have the tools to do so.

I don't remember off the top of my head exactly how this goes but you'll want to be cautious about how exactly you mount the camcorder. I'm sure at some point it becomes illegal depending on how you mount it (Especially if mounting it in the cabin requires the use of tools). Just something to consider.

Though taping it to the dash seems like a pretty good idea you need to see how your camera's focus is going to react to the spinning prop in front of it. You might also look in to velcro strips.

Oh, And be sure to post the video if you get it done!

Maybe a thin strip of cardboard can be placed on top of the camera, and the the duct tape can be then taped over it and onto the dash. If that makes sense...having the cardboard between the camera and the tape.
