Five Painful Places For A Tattoo
#11
I got a tattoo on my right pectoral "muscle" area, and it was so painful I passed out near the end of it, in a puddle of sweat. I haven't had the nerve to get it filled in yet, but I'm interested in getting one on my right bicep of a P-47. Just be willing for some pain.

i sat for years in a friends tat shop and he (the artist) said by far the neck / throat and rib cage were the worst for him. i have my entire ribs, both legs, and an arm done and found the rib cage of course was painful, much more then the arms and legs.
for example, the outline is thicker w slower needle strokes and the skin is fresh, once u start shading its thinner needles but faster strokes on skin thats already hurting from outline. the ribcage outline for me instantly felt like they had been working for an hour on the area already. alot of people who get anything "big" usually just get the outline done, then wait and do shading in sessions.
but when getting arms and legs i found the armpit area, front and rear of leg and arm (shin calf and tricep areas) hurt a good bit....
for as much as a tattoo gun "tickles" id much rather get ink then goto dentist or get shots.
