Question New Bidding for US AIRWAYS pilots ?

Can anyone tell me what changes, if any, exist in how a US Airways Captain now bids and receives monthly awards?

My ex flies for US Airways and claims that where he once knew his schedule 5 or 6 weeks in advance (with very minor exceptions) he now cannot possibly know his schedule until just two weeks prior to actual flights. I think it's malarky but I have no means of verifying the alleged new process. Claims to have a memo which details this but he refuses to provide a copy or portion of the text.

Can anyone familiar with these details please paint a good picture for me please? I am particularly interested in monthly timeline, number of monthly bidlines (used to be 4), likelihood of compulsary line changes and notice of such change if any, and then, time permitting, the annual vacation bidding process - same details as above.

Much appreciated,
Wilsonair
