Default NW Worldperks and Delta Sky Miles

http://www.roadandtravel.com/newswor...eltamiles.aspx

Article about customers being able to combine thier skymiles and worldperks, ALONG with Continental's as well. Basically if you fly to any of the destinations that are served by all three, it goes into a pool that you can use for any of the 3 (if I understand it right)

Not sure how this factors in with the impending merger, and why is CAL involved here??????

Maybe this has something to do with the Sky Team Alliance...according to the Delta website, a skymiles member can accrue miles on flights on NWA, CAL, and a lot of foreign carriers.
