There are some clouds here at FOB Sharana in central Afghanistan that you can have. VFR only and the morning gunk is sticking around too long.

Thanks guys. Yeah, it was a stressful couple of days leading up to the ride. Hit a couple of snags that were both within and out of my control the day before and day of the checkride.

For example, the stupid online 8710 you fill out through the IACRA website. Man, that almost stopped the checkride before it began. The DE has to have you and himself electronically 'sign' the 8710 the day of before you begin anything. Techinical problems with the computers for quite literally an hour and a half after we were supposed to start put quite a strain on things.

As for clouds low enough in the Phoenix area for an Archer to reach, well they're almost always going to be thunderstorms or contain icing conditions. No go there. Many folks reccommend I head out to Socal with an experienced instrument pilot.

Gotta build some more time first. Im at a part 61 school and have around 165TT after the checkride. I'll fly the Archer for another 40-50 hours (hopefully find someone to split the time with) then start the multi-commercial and hopefully time it so that I finish right around 250TT to meet the Comm cert mins.

Better information for you than just the standard..."congrats!" I know a few places you can fly a multi-engine aircraft for free. Run down to your nearest military recruiter, get a physical, a few weeks of B.S....and then you are flying multi-million dollar aircraft for free!! What a bargain.

Since you offering to "be someones guy"...maybe the military is not for you?

To validate this recommendation, I am the guy who just added a post about getting out of the military!

By the way, congrats on the checkride.
