I'm gonna third the Deer Staggs. Had mine for just about 2 years and they are holding up real well inside and out. Security friendly and don't look bad with a pair of jeans when you go out on an overnight. Mine are starting to show their age with some scuffs and nics but nothing a $5 shoe shine wouldn't fix. Long story short, last pair of shoes I bought for work were Deer Staggs and the next pair will be Deer Staggs.

These rockports work well for me. They have a airport friendly steel shank. they have never set off the alarms yet...

Nunn Bush from JCPenney. $55, great shoes. Light, comfortable, metal free.

I will also recommend the Deer Stags. They are comfy, and you can find a pair that look really nice and professional. They also look phenominal after a shoe shine. I don't wear them with my Sunday suit, the really shiny ones, with the leather sole, or the gators are reserved for that.

PPl do me a favor and be professional and keep your shoes shined. Nothing worse than a nice uniform with nasty looking shoes, holes in them, or scuff marks up the ying yang. Totally makes you look like a slob! Besides it's a tax write off.

Quick soloution at the shoe store. If you like them try bending them in half...if it folds near the arc you're good to go. If it bends up closer to the toe, you got a shank.

Personally, my Ariat's are incredibally comfortable, require NO black socks, and keep my feet warm and dry at all times. Not just Texans wear them, Colorado farm boys wear them too.

Hey Eric, like I said before, try this link. They'll show off your purdy legs. I suggest the gold ones. That'll go well with the black fleece jackets.

A couple of styles to choose from that are well suited for the uniform. I've had mine for over three years and still look good.
These are the best. I love mine.

All I can say is www.zappos.com. Best website and service ever! Free shipping and free shipping back if you don't like them. I will add that Eccos and HS Trask are awesome shoes.

Florscheim's shoes are all metal detector safe. They also look very nice, and shine very well. Furthermore, Florschiem just introduced a new product that has a comfort sole akin to the Rockport's.
