Rule of thumb - lbs to gal
I just came across a quick way to convert pounds to gallons. Though not as accurate as the traditional method, it does provide you with a ball park figure.
Take pounds desired, divide by 10, then add half of that number.
Example: 400 pounds = 40 + 20 = 60 gallons; 900 pounds = 90 + 45 = 135 gallons
