Given the choice between even a Czech built MiG-21 and a Swedish build Draken, not a hard choice.
FWIW, reportedly the Swedes were not happy to find some of the Drakens had made their way to the US. Doing some work with Saab, I met a number of Draken pilots and to a man, they loved it. Small cockpit but a goin' machine.

For convenience, replace the fire-control radar boxes in the nose with car batteries...that way you can start it without a GPU.
IIRC the largest expense was a new, relatively modern, ejection seat...and you could always save that expense if you have big brass ones

I know a guy who has a Mig 21. They're not that expensive to buy, and while they are maintenance intensive, the maintenance is not really hard. They were designed to be maintained by red army conscripts who only spent 2 years in the military...and didn't want to be there in the first place. There is a vast used parts market, and the parts are cheap. You can also find russian/eastern block immigrants who know how to maintain them.

The Ceo of Oracle ( a competiting company with INTEL ) Larry Ellison bought a MIG from the Russian government a couple years back.
When the shipment came from Russia there was 2 containers when customs picked it up. Larry and the customs agents were wondering why there were 2 containers. So the customs opens up the first shipment container, and there it is the MIG that larry bought from Russia.
So then they open the 2nd containers and inside is the weapons systems and the missiles for the MIG. The customs held Larry's MIG for 2 years becuase of that incident.
Larry went back to the Russian government asking why they shipped him the weapon systems with the MIG. Well the Russian government said " you wanted a MIG, and we gave you a MIG, whats the big deal".
Finally Larry got the MIG into the U.S. and hes been harrassing local airports in southern california ( Ellison is a certificated pilot and has owned several unusual aircraft, including fighter jets. Ellison has been cited several times by the city of San Jose for violating its limits on late night takeoffs and landings from San Jose International Airport by planes weighing more than 75 000 pounds. San Jose granted him a personal waiver from these regulations in 2001.) and hes had to pay over 100k in fines from noise violations. But he makes billions of dollars so he doesnt care. Still to this day you can see him in the MIG all around southern california.
