I say ask your wife what she wants and do WHATEVER she says. Do not for one second be mistaken...this day isn't about the two of you declaring your love for each other in front of your friends, family and God. It is HER day. If its not perfect and you're the reason for the imperfection, it will be an awfully long time till death do you part...lol! Seriously though, whats her input?

I've been sitting here for two hours trying not to reply.

Dude, it's your bride's big day. Let her call the shots. I'd say no.

That said, one of my former airshow teammates got married at the Tullahoma, TN airshow in the Delta DC-3 in a rather impromptu service. Rob Reider, famed airshow announcer, also is a card carrying clergy member.. He led the ceremony.

Anyone ever seen a bride climb/walk the aisle of a Gooney Bird in the 3-point attitude? At least your church's aisle will likely slope down to the altar...

I say it's your wedding, just warn your party-goers that if a Picture of you drinking in uniform leaks out, you'll kill them LoL.

Seriously though, about drinking in uniform, it's your ::expletive deleted:: wedding. What are we in this Country? I refuse, as should you, to be labeled because a couple dumbass Pilots showed up for work drunk.

This is so right on. Your girl has probably been thinking about her wedding since she was a little girl. Even if she says otherwise, even if she doesn't seem the type, it probably has leaked into her imagination at some point. There is no way the look of the wedding can mean as much to you as it does to her. Weddings are for the women, marriages are for the couple. You can help with little details as she allows. Maybe you could have the groom on the cake wear a uniform as a compromise. That has the potential to be cute.

Of course, if she was the one who brought up the idea of you all wearing your uniforms then that's another story. But make sure she really was the one who brought it up, not you brought it up and she said okaayyy and you took that mean she was excited by the idea. As I'm sure you know, girls don't always say exactly what they want because we expect you to be able to read our minds as easily as we can read yours.

All I can say is Wow.

I guess I'll go on record as saying don't do it.

But HSLD had a good idea...get some formal couple pics (non-wedding) with you in your uniform if you're into that. My wife and I have some of those (military uniform), and she seems to like them. But I didn't get married in uniform.
