What kinda cars do pilots drive?
What kind of car does the average major(ie:delta, northwest, continental, air canada) airline pilot drive?I went by the near by mercedes-benz dealer, and saw a sweet 2007 S-class,that cost about $70,000US,and im hoping that when I become a pilot, with maby Air Canada,i could afford one...so tell me,what kind of cars do you guys usually drive, chevys,or mercedes?

I had a Geo Metro, but can't afford it anymore. Now I drive a used Yugo. The great thing is that it was the former vehicle of a UAL 777 Captain and had 22 years worth of jeppesen revisions in the trunk! And he threw them in for free!

I HAD a Honda S2000 for a while as a toy, but it's not practical as a daily driver. My daily driver is an OLD F150, that's being replaced due to the cost of feeding it.
Some guys I fly with go for the bling-bling, although most understand a car is a depreciating asset. If you insist on throwing money away, do it with a boat or airplane!

the pilots I've met don't drive anything fancy. when I put pilots and cars together, I envision the MD80 capt I met in the CAL parking lot who drove a beat-up early 90's nissan truck.
wasn't as beat up as my car however, as I was the one who needed a jumpstart.
if you want to get into the profession where upscale cars are the norm, take a look at what your FAA med examiner's driving
