Wife has a 2008 Ford Hybrid. Paid for.
Harley is paid for.
In this industry, don't get anything you need to have a loan on, because it is only a matter of time before you are getting unemployment checks.

For me: 1999 toyota camery, bought it from a old lady,and drove it all the way from TX to CA looking for CFI job, end up instructing in San Antonio, TX.
Very good car, 30+ mpg, plan to drive it for another 100K
For her: 2006 VW new beetle, bought it used, got a loan on it
(hope to stay employed as long as possible), very cute car, and quite powerful.
