temco swift....great plane. I know a gentleman who owns a pristine one with stick conversion nearby that I would love to get a chance to go up in.

I try to limit all of my GA flying to planes with the third wheel in the back

I had mine converted to a stick and it seems much lighter on the controls. The Swift can be a snarky little machine and in high gusty crosswinds, it is a handful. It is easy to run out of rudder in high crosswinds.

Of all the airplanes I have flown the Swift demands the most attention in landing of any I have flown. That may be due to various factors; it, me, combination of both. But the old axiom about you have to fly it from chock to chock is valid.

Call your friend and tell him the next time he goes up, you want to go. I think you will enjoy it and be challenged by it.

That bottom pic of the 747 is one of the best I've ever seen .

I only fly my school's planes, so I'll keep them out of this topic
