Back when Avgas was still fairly cheap it was. The biggest reason I'd use my plane was that Fdx only had one 727 or DC-8 making the run and those A/C only had 2 J/S. Now days its an MD-10 with a follow up Airbus. Plenty of J/S.

It was always a kick to just fly up to mem in blue jeans and a shirt and not have to go through the usual J/S ritual........ Priceless. One thing after a trip I would never just fly home in the middle of the night around 2 AM. Just to tired and single engine at night. Well no need to build up time anymore. So my idea of a dawn launch to go home was around 9 to 10 in the morning.
