Could be...something like this was inevitable. Those who participate will see better effeciency due to fewer (or zero) deadhead legs, which will translate to lower prices, which will attract more customers...

Those who don't participate may be left out in the cold, unable to compete.

CAJ isn't a new, revolutionary airline/charter operation that has the potential of being the "future:" it's just a network that links all charter operations that go through the USA.

You guys think it could work or will fall apart because the operators will be unwilling to participate?

I saw a spam email on our Res. Sq. Fax w/ CAJ in it yesterday, I'm guessing it's a pink sheet money request type broadcast. Not traditionally a good sign of a solid firm. AMMV

This is a great idea, but it probably needs tons of participation, both pilots/planes and passengers before it will attract pilots/planes and passengers. There are several sites out there like this, and the concept is great. If you can get the price per seat to be competitive, then people might go this route to avoid all the big hub / major airline hassles. I'd bet there are a lot of jets out there with empty seats or sitting idle while the average joe continues to book all their travel with their travel agent.
