The general consensus among the scientific community from balloon photos and mathematics is about 60,000 ft.

I've been to 49.9k and you can just make it out on a good day with a little bit of imagination.

I've also been drunk laying on a floor an noticed it.

Hi all, first post for me. Been to FL55 on British Airways concorde flight BA001 from LHR to JFK in 2000. Through the very small windows, I could see what appeared to be a slight curvature of the earth. What was quite eerie was that the sky went from bright blue to a very dark blue, almost black.

hey, thanks for the response, guess I'll have to fly something that can go higher than the EMB (FL370) before I see the curvature.

I've talked to a past graduate who flys Lears and has been up to FL500. He said you can BARELY see it as well as a darker blackened sky. P.s. He took a pic of the altimeter and sent it to Bombardier and received something back from them.
