Default Career Vs. Job

Ive always wondered what makes a job more than a job. What makes a job turn into a career. Sometimes we here people say I want more than a job, I want a career. To everyone on here, I would like to hear what you think the difference is.

There is a big difference between a career and a job. In my opinion, a career is something you enjoy, love doing, pays good and you couldn't imagine doing anything else. A job is just a way to get money, boring most of the time and something you don't look foward to doing.

I -kind- of agree... But not all careers pay well... And not everyone with a career loves/enjoys it... To me, a career is either a profession or the company that you plan on spending the rest of your working life at.

Career is what you are passionate about, where you want to be. The Job is usually not the most desireable, but it's part of the steps you take to get to your "Career" status. These will also define your career as you go too.
