Any amount whatsoever. A presumption of innocence is a presumption of innocence. Don't even pretend civil forfeiture isn't widely abused.

I have moved large sums of money many times in my life. Not once did I need government permission. Has something changed in the last 3 months?

What’s more important, compliance in secure areas or cash mule freedoms? Bad guys exploit rules. Bad guys move around easier on gutted discretion to stop, question, search and, when warranted under policy directives, gather evidence of possible criminal activity.

You're telling me that you can move millions of dollars across international borders without any paperwork or government spying in an hour or less?

You can explain it all downtown sir.

Stealing cash has nothing to do with 'compliance in secure areas.' Discretion to stop, question, search, and gather evidence of possible criminal activity is already limited by fourth and fifth amendments. Are you advocating repeal of those amendments? The purpose of the exceptions in those secure areas is aircraft and passenger safety, not civil asset forfeiture.

"common sense use of due process" is total BS. You either have due process or you don't. If you don't like the fourth and fifth amendments, change them. Don't pretend they don't say what they actually say. The constitution (including its amendments) is a contract with the people by which they AGREE to be ruled. Breaking that contract will cause far more problems than it's worth. Cut convince enough people and the contract can be modified. We did it twice for booze. But it should neither be stretched (the "penumbra" to the "right" of privacy) nor constrained ("common sense use"). If you don't like the contract, modify the contract, there are procedures to do that, but don't try to finesse it, even for the greater good. That breaks the contract.
