Back when I was flying the 145 I would make PA's saying "from the pointy end" but my current plane isn't pointy anymore so it doesn't work

I was hired 29 years ago. If that type of nonsense used to be spouted by some pilots, it’s ancient history, because I never heard people say it. I’m sure in the 60’s and 70’s, things were different, but the industry has evolved, and this is simply a solution in search of a problem.
Thankfully those have basically disappeared, in my experience, in the last 20-25+ years.
