No, it really isn’t. You are absurd for taking another’s words, spinning it through that demented, woke brain of yours and spitting out accusations that attack the very character of the person. People like you are the problem.

Yeah... you're off the rails.

Look at the hateful words you're using.

Every accusation you make is a confession.

I wonder if the public cares what we call the thingy we sit and fly in, but making a scene about a change in its name or a rallying cry against its change does make us seem less focused on flying airplanes. And less respectable…

Right?
BINGO!!! That perfectly describes the current status of American society.

So while that is the origin of the word, some people have been using it in other ways.
In my decades in this business I've never heard someone use that word in that context. Ever.

Probably, I never heard it used that way

Really? Decades in the biz, I never heard that word used in such context while in duty.

Like all this "realignment" and redefinitions and guidelines that border on suppression ALPA chose to publish this, we've got larger fires to fight than this. I'm really disappointed they put this out there.

I look at it as a diversion from the growing concerns at the forefront before the population. Health Care issues/choices resulting leading to prosecutorial overreach... the economy, invasion of religious tenets by politicians in schools and society... deprevasion of choices in personal lives... just to identify some issues. So yeah... arguments of Cockpit vs Flight Deck... NOTAMen vs NOTAMission... P/As. Ladies and Gentlemen... vs Folks. A well deserved and humorous diversion from issues tearing our country apart.

you are correct. We should focus on flying planes instead of a small minority trying to change a word because they are offended at everything.
