🤔 I beg to differ.

Don't try that in a small town unless you're an admin/mod.

In YOUR OPINION.

Said mod has often had a "do as I say not as I do" policy.

Frankly, most (maybe all?) of the dozen+ states I've lived in start school in August, and 'early' August wasn't all that out of the norm. Neither I nor my kids attended any school that started in September, though I remember my Mom who grew up in New England say she always started afer Labor Day. It's been region dependant for decades, AFAIK.
hey!!! Only took 4 pages but I finally got my question answered.

Could’ve answered it in the second post if I had seen it sooner.

Miata. The answer is always miata.

He said a few things about unions not being good for all workers. It was a partisan opinion.

Rick says a lot of stuff that questions his moderator status. I got a warning for quoting Happy Gilmore “we are all now dumber” after mocking his side of a discussion. It was a 7/10 joke that was taken pretty seriously. DO NOT question his authority!

Edit: 5/10 joke…but I thought it was like an 8/10 at the time.

Let me ask you this. Do you feel the same way about Police unions?
yes I do about police. And yes teachers are not allowed to strike, except they do in Washington State and the AG does noting about it. Teachers unions are about money and power. Screw them.

Are there some bad teachers? Sure. There are bad pilots and lawyers and doctors too. But it's absurd to claim that the entire entire educational system is failing and indoctrinating children en mass

The US ranks 4th in the world in spending per student, pretty much the exact opposite of underfunded.

It is also full of teachers who are more concerned about spreading their political doctrine (on both sides).

How dare teachers want to make a living wage for putting up with your poorly behaved children! Now, let's go complain about how scheduling is making me do sit short call even when they know they won't use me. The gull to make me earn my half million a year pay
