We've actually had a little bit of a delay in flight training out here at Spartan due to an instructor shortage. I think the regionals snapping up almost everyone that has a couple months of instructing kind of caught a lot of schools by surprise.

Maybe not seeing as the pilot shortage is currently leaving empty pilot seats and cancelled flights at the RJ's and the Majors. It could equally as well be a bad thing.

I heard the Helicopter pilot shortage on the AM radio about a month ago. A huge seminar came to CAE to talk about paid helicopter pilot training. Chopper pilots are in high demand all around the world.

It's a pretty simple equation:

Why get paid $20k a year to instruct when you could get $24k per year to fly a JET!!!!!

Of course on the other hand, why pay $50-60K for your tickets and only make $24K a year. Something about that is just wrong.

because you still paid for your ratings and are getting at least 6-9 thousand more.
