Hamas did not attack ancient Israel. Hamas attacked Israel the nation-state, established 1947 by the United Stations, which partitioned the land, and formalized in 1948. You can toss any artifact into the mix, and it doesn't change the fact.

Israel as a group of jews wandering in the desert is not the same as Israel nation-state, which has been attacked. Israel will not be responding to wrongs that may have been perpetrated by egyptian leaders thousands of years ago, but you can bet that the IDF and the Israeli government is responding to the assault by Hamas in real time.

I have no doubt the IDF will respond with the gloves off this time. We are also seeing a change in Arab behavior with Egypt almost 50 years ago, and most recently the UAE and even Saudi Arabia changing their approach to the region. It appears the true threat is Iran, not Israel. And as I’m sure you know, Iran is not Arab, but Persian. In any case, it seems the cycle continues.

So to be clear, you are endorsing the raping of young women, the murder of children, the multilation of bodies, the wholesale destruction and murder of families. That’s what you just did. You are disgusting. You’re so busy being an edgy activist that you don’t even know evil when it’s staring you in the face, can’t find truth even when it’s presented to you on video.

The history of the conflict, both the Israeli's and the Palestinians -- is horrific and inhumane. It's almost as though these groups of people base their way of life and policy on myths from thousands of years ago or something crazy like that.

Regardless of what you think is right or wrong, the Palestinians fight back. Regardless of Israel's iron dome, continuous war and oppression -- it is unlikely the Israeli's will ever live in peace. What a miserable part of the world.

Seems like an unsolvable conflict. At least in Northern Ireland both sides tired of the war after a few decades.

red herring. He didn’t endorse it explicitly. He is saying actions have consequences.

How is this so much more significant than the Russian invasion into Ukraine that it would create a black swan event while Russia's did not? Honest question. One country is one of the largest exporters of energy on the planet and the other is Israel.

Not logical but yes, you hit the nail on the head. A lot of people would go to war over an attack on Israel before a similar attack on their own country or a NATO ally.

It is illogical. But some people spend a lot of money to enable that illogical response.

My wife Goes WTF Israel on a regular basis on a lot of the crap they do with West Bank, Gaza etc. .

But if a public figure were to make a similar comment in public they'd get accused of antisemitism.

She got accused of antisemitism by a "upstanding member of the community" (like church deacon, who is on the civic leauge)

She's Jewish. Obviously so. Like basically Fran Dresher's angry younger sister.

Person was still all "we need to GO TO WAR FOR ISRAEL"

My wife was "you volunteer then, I can get you the IDF foreign recruitre's number"

More so if Iran and Saudi become involved.

You make a valid point though. I found myself indifferent about Ukraine yet ****ed about Israel. Perhaps it was due to the graphic videos of women being mutilated.
