Default System reqmnts to support FSX, FS2020, or X-

Hey guys:

Looking to start the medical certification process...(3rd Class this time around)...again in a couple weeks. (see previous post/threads regarding HIMS process). At any rate, I have a general knowledge of aerodynamics. Looking to get ahead of the curve by getting either FS2020 or X-Plane purely as a training tool. I am in possession of Pilot's Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge (FAA-H-8083-25A) & Airplane Flying Handbook (FAA-H-8083-3A). My question is is the below sufficient to support the aforementioned along with Saitek Pro Flight Yoke System w/Throttle controls?

CLX - SET Gaming Desktop - AMD Ryzen 5 5600G - 8GB Memory - Radeon Graphics Shared - 500GB M.2 NVMe SSD - Black

Thanks in advance.

If no one answers the question Reddit flightsim will probably better able to give you info on hardware. Just be careful of teaching yourself bad habits that might have to be unlearned at $200 per hour

That rig sounds a little light to me, especially the 8GB of RAM. I agree on the recommendation to post on Reddit's flightsim forum. With the Visuals in today's flight sim games you may need more powerful hardware, or else turn the graphics settings down quite a bit.
