Personally in the modern era I would prefer precision munitions which have at least dual, if not triple, redundant guidance caps. Inertial would be very nice. I don't trust GPS to be infinitely reliable, even Sadam had countermeasures back then.
I would expect "alternative" GNSS style guidance, perhaps based on persistent drone presence. I was a JTAC, amongst other things.

Break break
I think the EA environment would be tough for drones in a prc vs USA scenario. But I never did the drone thing. Only flew vipers and studied jdams until they were coming out of my ears lol.

People who deny the laws of physics but claim JDAM expertise are poseurs because JDAMs DO follow the laws of physics. And while we do have limited stores of INS/GPS dual capable JDAM munitions, those apparently aren’t the ones we are giving to the Ukraine. Just like the M1A1s that we are (eventually) giving to the Ukraine and the derated HIMARS the DOD seems to be keeping the Ukraine on a tight leash with mostly last generation equipment.

Oh the hubris to think one is yoda. One thing I can guarantee you. We are pointless carbon units spinning around on a rock in space. No one knows what’s going on, certainly not you nor I. Yoda probably would have known that. Maybe a touch of Buddhism for our souls will do us good. I’m sorry the salt was too much for you. Have a tequila on me.
