I’m speaking of the kids condemned to dirt. Everyday. All sides. It’s wrong. Stay out of it.

There's a calling in this for you, something personal. Imagine for a moment a parent, child or sibling is taken for the cause. Russia/Ukraine's conflict, as the thread describes it, will never end. Never. How long was Castro boss? How come the N Korean, freaky hair doo fatty, rates permanent shade by Chinese overseers? We could go on all day. Fight the good fight? Absolutely. Going to need a bigger boat.

In the Ukraine, failing to show for induction or trying to leave the country is a year imprisonment after which you get ANOTHER induction notice and can be sentenced again repeatedly until you do go. For the Russian kids the consequences are even more severe.
Compelling 18 year olds to die to take or defend mere yards of territory because 70 year old politicians want to play The Big Game has little nobility to it.

The Reality? Is death. Ghastly arithmetic. What happens when this Kremlin regime ends? Another takes its place. Communism is evil we were taught. Fast forward to a people’s wall supposedly crumbling down. Double digit trade expansion with autocratic, one party rule, venture capital heavyweights. Oh, communist threats are a thing of the past. Here we are tik tok friends.

I can think of a few issues we could have solved with the $100+ billion sent over there.
Guess keeping quiet over suspect business dealings from our fearless leader (and family) has a price.
Remember when our fearless leader was a proponent of Ukraine energy fracking right before said offspring worked for a Ukraine energy company?
Anyone know where I can get some art for around $500K?
I miss the days when, a leader we once had, took no salary, and actually ended up with less net worth than when he started. On a side note, we make about as much as a President and way more than members of Congress. Anyone know where I can find a $10 million beach house? We should all be able to afford them, right?

“Any signal in the EMS [electromagnetic spectrum] has vulnerabilities,” said Carlson, a former president of the Association of Old Crows, a professional organization for electronic and cyber warfare professionals.
Each type of JDAM has a different set of vulnerabilities, Carlson told Task & Purpose. While the U.S. military has countermeasures against attempts to jam GPS-guided weapons, Carlson declined to say exactly what those measures entail.
Meanwhile, Russia, China, and other potential adversaries have closely observed how the U.S. military has used GPS-guided weapons since NATO air operations in 1999 against Serbia so that they could improve their jamming technologies, Carlson said.Since 2015, the Russians have deployed “brute force” jammers to Syria that disrupt a large swath of the electromagnetic spectrum, Lewis said. These jammers are so powerful that they can affect planes landing in Tel Aviv, Israel.
“The problem with these big, powerful, brute force jammers is they’re easy to target,” Lewis told Task & Purpose. “It’s sending up a big signal that says: ‘Here I am. Target me.’ If you don’t have to worry about people shooting back, it can be attractive. I think that’s one reason you see it used in Syria.”
The Russians also have more sophisticated jammers that can jam specific frequencies, and they have invested time and effort into developing capabilities to spoof a GPS signal and throw navigation systems off course, Lewis said. That is why the Chinese military, which lags behind Russia in electronic warfare capabilities, is buying Russian-made jammers

I think it plays into whether or not the buildup for a Ukrainian offensive is true or even plausible. With the “propaganda” from everywhere you wonder which one will win out. You’d have to think that if the Ukrainian offensive build up is actually happening that the Russians are trying to equally prepare. I mean if we are talking about it it’s obviously not going to be a surprise offensive attack. So my point is who is out faking who with the reports, news stories, leaked documents, etc? Additionally it looks like many nations are simply looking past all this mess and moving on.
