One can only wonder if the US and UK believe that a redline for nuke use still does exist.

It's occurred to you that direct and indirect communications have been taking place between NATO (us) and the Russians the whole time, yes? It should also occur to you that the Russians are not eager to start a nuclear war that would surely end in Moscow's annihilation. Your continual breathless cries warning of impending nuclear doom are either a.) histrionics worthy of a Beverly Hills Karen, or b.) pure theater & an attempt to distract from the far more pertinent threat of actual, demonstrated Russian aggression. Of course there are lines we won't allow the Ukrainians to cross. Those lines likely move based on communications with Moscow. There is so much happening behind the scenes (any reasonably intelligent person knows this) that we won't know about for a long time. Your experience should give you clues though and should temper your constant 'sky is falling' narrative.

About 121,000 people have been evacuated from Kursk or have fled the areas affected by fighting on their own, Russian officials say. The Institute for the Study of War, a Washington-based think tank, said it has seen geolocated footage indicating that Ukrainian forces advanced as much as 24 kilometers (15 miles) from the border.
But don't feel obligated to depend on my reporting. Posting worthwhile comments might not be as much fun as childish name calling, sarcasm, and ad hominem attacks, but it's definitely more enlightening.

18:29Over the last few hours, we've been bringing you updates as Ukraine continues its incursion in Russia's Kursk region. Here's a look at some of the main developments from today:- Ukraine now controls 74 settlements in Kursk, the country's president, Volodymyr Zelensky, said, having launched its incursion there last week. The region's governor said on Monday that Ukraine controls 28
- Ukraine's foreign ministry says it is not interested in "taking territory" in the region, but will continue its offensive until Russia agrees to "a just peace"
- In a briefing earlier, the US state department said it was not involved in any preparations for Ukraine's incursion
- Kyiv's chief of staff said movement has been restricted for Ukrainian civilians within a 20km (12 mile) zone bordering Russia
- Ukraine's top commander has said Kyiv's forces control 1,000 sq km of Russian territory, but the US-based Institute for the Study of War think tank did not believe all the area was under Ukrainian control
- About 200 people who left Kursk arrived in Moscow today, Russia's emergency ministry said. Yesterday, officials said at least 121,000 people had fled the region, with a further 59,000 told to leave
We'll be pausing our coverage shortly, but you can read more about today's developments here.

I’ll say this, if you’re going to parade for the Kremlin guard, better be able to get boots up over the zipper. What is that? How tall are those caps?Zelenskyy’s a pro comic, right? Speaks fluent Russian. Meet with Putin & walk-in made up like Groucho Marx. Everything changes for the price of a TV special. What’s to lose?

#Kursk offensive update: UA has strengthened positions near Sheptukovka. They have also renewed attacks on Korenovo and are now present on the outskirts of the settlement. Further south, UA has captured the settlement of Plekovo and struck at Gir'i, 15km to the east.

Point being, they’re not talking. Who better to represent THEIR ethnic division? THEIR existential demands. Get serious about ceasefire or hold out for a better deal. Up to them. We’re tracking now. The trillions in burnt subsidy, up to you & me. Hard to believe it’s even a discussion worth having. If I wasn’t from here, would almost feel sorry these Dudley DoRight saps.

Lots of us with credentials out there. Not many of us building fallout shelters ATM. Your posts sound far more Homer Simpson than grizzled SAC warrior.
