Who is Macron kidding?
It ain't French boots on the ground he is talking about, it's American boots on the ground.

why some think we should allow this brutal regime to annex Ukraine is just not thinking clearly:

And it's not just the use of chemical weapons:
"Elsewhere, Human Rights Watch - a non-governmental organisation - has called for a war crimes investigation after it unearthed evidence that Russian forces executed over a dozen surrendering Ukrainian troops. The events allegedly occurred between December 2023 and February 2024, the body said in a statement."

Or that we "allow" the Chinese to imprison a million Uyghurs in re-education camps.

Or "allow" the Chinese to continue to occupy Tibet.

Or that we "allow" military coups to take over democracies in the Sahel.

Or that we "allow" a variety of countries to stone people to death for adultery and homosexuality.

because the world is too damn big for us to play world's policeman. We tried it in Afghanistan for 20 years and $2.3 TRILLION worth and it didn't change a damn thing.

We "allow" all sorts of evil $hit to happen internationally because we aren't omnipotent.

Probably for the very same reason we are "allowing" the Taliban to deny schooling to females, treat them like chattel property, subject them to rape, child marriage, etc.

I do not think I have ever engaged in an ad hominem attack on yourself. I state judgments based on your posts and my knowledge.
I have implied that you are ignorant of the causes of the war. That is merely a statement of objective fact from my perspective. My most recent post merely repeated what I have stated multiple times regarding what you engage in. I just used examples from the USA's relatively recent history to illustrate.(tongue in cheek to make the poinr) Your positions mirror Lindbergh's America First, and remind even a casual observer of McClellan. (I did leave out Westmoreland due to recency)
You stated that I have impugned your character. I have not. I have impugned YOUR JUDGEMENT regarding posting your conclusions on the internet. Hence the implied classification of 'useful idiot'.
A while back I made 3 lengthy "big picture" posts rebutting some of your basic premises. You dismissed with"you and I have different views".
I ssuspect you goggle search for articles that you then skim to back your conclusions. Due to the flood of articles, I suspect you don't even read most of them. Regardless, it is an internet education, which you have deliberately crafted into a silo type of knowledge.
Knowledge is important, but it doesn't equate to understanding. The Fox is very clever, but the Hedgehog knows a few big things.
The internet has changed discussion/argument from basically private affairs into an instrument of war waged for the greatest prize.....control of public perception, and hence political/military/police power. I have pointed out at least 3 books, and at least one article from ISSW, that discuss this. It has evolved light years from propaganda, (which is your usual dismissive reply).
Your posts support the strategic goals of a power that is actively working to destroy/damage the stability of the world, and destroy a sovereign country and it's national identity.
This means you are actively assisting that country in it's waging of war.
I have stated this before, and will do so again.
Think about what you are doing.

Russian troops enter base housing US military in Niger, US official says
By Phil Stewart and Idrees AliMay 3, 202412:11 AM PDTUpdated 6 hours ago
WASHINGTON, May 2 (Reuters) - Russian military personnel have entered an air base in Niger that is hosting U.S. troops, a senior U.S. defense official told Reuters, a move that follows a decision by Niger's junta to expel U.S. forces.
The military officers ruling the West African nation have told the U.S. to withdraw its nearly 1,000 military personnel from the country, which until a coup last year had been a key partner for Washington's fight against insurgents who have killed thousands of people and displaced millions more.
A senior U.S. defense official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said Russian forces were not mingling with U.S. troops but were using a separate hangar at Airbase 101, which is next to Diori Hamani International Airport in Niamey, Niger's capital.
The move by Russia's military, which Reuters was the first to report, puts U.S. and Russian troops in close proximity at a time when the nations' military and diplomatic rivalry is increasingly acrimonious over the conflict in Ukraine.
It also raises questions about the fate of U.S. installations in the country following a withdrawal.
"(The situation) is not great but in the short-term manageable," the official said.
Asked about the Reuters report, U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin played down any risk to American troops or the chance that Russian troops might get close to U.S. military hardware.
"The Russians are in a separate compound and don't have access to U.S. forces or access to our equipment," Austin told a press conference in Honolulu.
"I'm always focused on the safety and protection of our troops ... But right now, I don't see a significant issue here in terms of our force protection."
The Nigerien and Russian embassies in Washington did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The U.S. and its allies have been forced to move troops out of a number of African countries following coups that brought to power groups eager to distance themselves from Western governments. In addition to the impending departure from Niger, U.S. troops have also left Chad in recent days, while French forces have been kicked out of Mali and Burkina Faso

its interesting to me that this man cant stop himself from obsessing over this subject. Youd think that since he is a man of “extensive” military experience, here to educate the masses, we’d hear about gazprom or storm shadows, but nope, selective agenda RU propaganda posting as usual.
