And perhaps MaxQ believes themselves to be a psychiatrist. Seriously, why the ad hominem attacks? What I'm posting are either facts or opinions drawn from reputable informed sources. If you believe you can rebut them you are welcome to do so. Implying I am somehow lacking in intellect, patriotism, a Russian bot, etc., just indicates a lack of ability to counter those opinions or facts. It's called Sophistry and goes back a long ways.
how can anyone be that out of touch with the perceptions of other humans?

Now you can impugn people's character to your hearts content, but it doesn't change reality. The "big picture" is that Ukraine has serious manpower and logistics problems that do not appear to be improving and in fact are getting worse. Absent NATO boots on the ground in Ukraine that's not likely to change. And with the state of the military in most of the larger European NATO countries (I'm sorry, little Estonia and Lithuania scarcely count) the only really capable NATO boots in any great number have US feet in them (I'll concede Poland's contribution wouldn't be entirely trivial). But right now Ukraine is slowly losing and their military position is becoming increasingly tenuous.
So if you want to advocate for US boots on the ground in Ukraine you can certainly do that, but that is the "big picture" as much as you might want to pretend otherwise.

I have implied that you are ignorant of the causes of the war. That is merely a statement of objective fact from my perspective. My most recent post merely repeated what I have stated multiple times regarding what you engage in. I just used examples from the USA's relatively recent history to illustrate.(tongue in cheek to make the poinr) Your positions mirror Lindbergh's America First, and remind even a casual observer of McClellan. (I did leave out Westmoreland due to recency)
You stated that I have impugned your character. I have not. I have impugned YOUR JUDGEMENT regarding posting your conclusions on the internet. Hence the implied classification of 'useful idiot'.
A while back I made 3 lengthy "big picture" posts rebutting some of your basic premises. You dismissed with"you and I have different views".
I ssuspect you goggle search for articles that you then skim to back your conclusions. Due to the flood of articles, I suspect you don't even read most of them. Regardless, it is an internet education, which you have deliberately crafted into a silo type of knowledge.
Knowledge is important, but it doesn't equate to understanding. The Fox is very clever, but the Hedgehog knows a few big things.
The internet has changed discussion/argument from basically private affairs into an instrument of war waged for the greatest prize.....control of public perception, and hence political/military/police power. I have pointed out at least 3 books, and at least one article from ISSW, that discuss this. It has evolved light years from propaganda, (which is your usual dismissive reply).
Your posts support the strategic goals of a power that is actively working to destroy/damage the stability of the world, and destroy a sovereign country and it's national identity.
This means you are actively assisting that country in it's waging of war.
I have stated this before, and will do so again.
Think about what you are doing.

And I’ve told you just as many times. The leverage of soaring billions in material, logistic support ought to buy something. Failure to create sufficient pressure for direct ceasefire engagement is bitter confirmation the current patchwork effort isn’t going to push the enemy back very far. Most of the ground surrendered to an entrenched, superpower regime will remain occupied for the foreseeable future. I know it’s not a forecast you want to hear. I don’t like it either but then again, I don’t eat fortune cookies or play the powerball numbers.

Why is that, comrade?

Do you understand the meaning of superpower? Do you understand American diplomatic/military engagement fell woefully short of mission in Korea, Vietnam, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan? Are you entirely blind to the rapidly escalating turmoil in our cities, schools, courts and of administration of democratic process? Hell no. But the name calling, you got that down. Carry on.

It’s an interesting playbook some here are using:
1. Insist our ally is flawed & not worth saving (usually a politically motivated position). State (incorrectly) that they are bound to lose.
2. Actively advocate for policies that will hamstring the ally and make your original assertions magically come “true”.
3. Sit back and say “told you so” to the people you think are dumb enough not to have seen through your ploy.

It illustrates a method, used in various ways, of creating chaos and failure. Then claiming that chaos and failure is inherent to X,Y,or Z.
Justifying a predetermined course of action regarding X,Y, or Z.
Rinse and repeat.
in 4 lines, Lowslung shows a great deal of insight.
