As to your other point, you do realize we were giving them our old equipment and buying ourselves new stuff right?

Youve never adequately answered how to stop russia from continuing its slow generational long march through the baltic states…..still waiting on that
You're partisan. Fine. So am I. There’s unfinished business right here. More than 100 years of it. Do you not notice people sleeping rough in our streets? That means homeless. Are you blind or just blind with contempt for Russia & Tucker Carlson? Get back in line. The spring, summer, winter offensive went bust. It’s soon enough chit or get off the lav time in EU, like it or not. No boots, no leverage, no Ukraine. Direct enough?

"We can't do anything until we deal with these fires!" says the arsonist.

It's a convenient red herring for non-action.

Arson, brilliant emotional counter. Who doesn’t crave flattery? Tick tock iceman, these aren’t nomads on camelback shooting back. Respect our enemies. Amazon gifting US rocket, mortar & howitzer rounds to Baltic trenches on a hapless mission to defeat a superior force is pigeonhole policy.

It was explained to you - you simply didn't listen. The initial Russian attack was based on bad intel - not surprising really - and the Russians just grabbed territory like crazy, way over extending their logistic support. When the Ukrainians didn't fold it became obvious even to the Russians that they needed to pull back to a defensible position because they were overstretched and couldn't avoid being outflanked and isolated and then destroyed in detail. Not surprising really. That well might have been the only combat 95% of the invaders had ever seen.

if you go back in history, it's not surprising. When we entered WWII our initial incursion was in North Africa - a little place called the Kasserine Pass.

https://warfarehistorynetwork.com/article/the-battle-of-kasserine-pass-and-the-failure-of-general-lloyd- problem, of course, is that the Russians learned. War has a way of culling the ignorant and the stupid from the herd fairly quickly. And a meatgrinder takes everyone leaving the advantage to whoever has the most meat to grind. Unfortunately, that's Russia.

Now had our feckless NATO allies actually done what they've been promising to do and then not done for the last 30-50 years in terms of maintaining their own militaries this likely wouldn't have happened. You see NATO was never intended to go toe-to-toe with the USSR/Russia in a conventional war, it was intended to DETER a conventional war.

Deterrence has been central to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization’s (NATO) strategic concepts since the beginning. The first such concept, “Strategic Concept for the Defense of the North Atlantic Area,” known as DC 6/1 and approved in December 1949, declared as its main objective: “To coordinate, in time of peace, our military and economic strength with a view to creating a powerful deterrent to any nation or group of nations threatening the peace, independence and stability of the North Atlantic family of nations.”2
This article will give you the basic background on how the concept of deterrence evolved:

https://www.csis.org/analysis/resetting-natos-defense-and-deterrence-sword-and-shield-redux

But when you neglect your conventional forces enough, the calculus of deterrence fails. It comes down to the Question of whether or not you think NATO will start a nuclear war to salvage the Ukraine. At that pont, deterrence fails, because nobody seriously believes anyone but the Ukrainians woukd start a nuclear war to save Ukraine and Ukraine gave up their nuclear weapons long ago.

For exvlad Carlson:

so it’s just coincidence that this all happened magically right when we stopped giving them aid because of right wing bull**** RU infused politics? Copy

you are a clown that doesn’t know what they’re talking about. It was evident to me the moment that you didn’t understand why Robo was significant, nor when you professed that Russia had a legitimate reason to fear invasion, despite being unable to explain how you invade a country with 6000 nuclear weapons, or when you couldn’t explain how China was going to cross from Cuba and land troops on the Florida coast, etc. etc.

you are filled with emotion, and you are letting your emotional response to the EU Rob you of coherent, methodical and strategic thinking. It doesn’t matter if the EU picks up the bill or not, it is not in our best interest to allow Russia to control one of the largest grain supplies in the world. Get a grip.

it must be tough living in your world of old man, fear, just know that I’m laughing at you every time you post

No tougher than living in your world so stawman arguments, quibbling, and name-calling I'd reckon...
Get a grip yourself.
