you literally know nothing about me except my abhorrence for post WW2 territorial aggression by any nation beyond their internationally recognized borders, but your weak little mind has to make it about your politics. Thank you for proving my point.
the irony of this statement, after my views expressed regarding right wing extremism and RU propaganda, is fairly profound. Again i thank you sir

NATO unity…
Russian President Vladimir Putin shook hands with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán in China on Tuesday — the first handshake between the Russian president and an EU leader since Moscow launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022.
According to Russian state-run news outlet TASS, Orbán told Putin that, “Hungary has never sought to confront Russia. Rather, the opposite is true: Hungary has always pursued the goal of building and expanding the best communication.”
Putin said, “it is very important to have a chance to exchange views not only on bilateral relations, but also on the situation in the world and in Europe with one of the EU countries — with Hungary in this case,” adding, “we know that our positions do not always coincide, but an opportunity to exchange views, in my opinion, is always extremely important.”
The meeting took place at a two-day forum on Tuesday marking the 10th anniversary of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s brainchild, the Belt and Road Initiative — where Orbán and Putin discussed cooperation in natural gas and crude oil transportation as well as nuclear energy.
The Hungarian leader has cultivated a close personal relationship with Putin over the years, and was slow to condemn Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine as well as keeping a Russia-friendly stance in the conflict.
In the spring, a top Kyiv official warned that a series of deals boosting Hungary’s energy links with Russia will only prolong the war in Ukraine. “If you’ve seen the video where Russians cut the head off a Ukrainian soldier — the Hungarians are paying for the knife,” Oleg Ustenko, economic adviser to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, told POLITICO.

Blew up some whirlybirds if reports are to believed (they're probably not). Per unit cost of an ATACAM is about a million buckaroos, I'd imagine a Russian helicopter is quite a bit more. (16 million?)
Vlad going on TV and reminding everyone that they have hypersonic missiles that can reach carriers stationed in the Gulf a bit of headline grabbing theatre. (they probably can't). Per unit cost of a hypersonic missile is anyone's guess, but carriers are in the tens of billions, plus assets on board.
Be interesting to see if the Ukrainians can slip the leash with the ATACMS and destroy targets actually in Russia. Using US provided target lists and real time data.
Which, as I understand it, is exactly why Russia isn't interested in having a NATO army right on it's border.

It's what Russia believes.
NATO is first and foremost a US creation. We're it's puppet master. (I'm all for that, BTW, because screw ever going to a total war in Europe ever again.) "Keep the Russians out, the American's in, and the Germans down" as the famous quote goes.
The US has historically been an expansionist power. Best short and easy read on this is ""How to Hide an Empire" by Daniel Immerwahr. Expelled FRIENDLY Indian nations from their land, fought wars with Spain and Mexico on some pretty questionable casus belli to conquer the continent, "annexed" Puerto Rico and the Philippines, and so forth.
For the more basic TLDR: remember "manifest destiny" and "The Monroe Doctrine" from high school? You think that's gone?
We're the "indispensable nation". 350 million souls who have some sort of moral right to dictate to the rest of the 7+ billion on the planet? Every President in my lifetime believes it and states it publicly.
Again, it doesn't matter what I believe. Or you.
Superpowers have their own vote. The unipolar moment of the US was nice while it lasted (1991-present), but it's coming to an end.
