-1st year pay as much as $110K
-Walmart employees living near two Trucker training centers in Texas and Delaware can get trained for free, in the future all employees will be able to apply.

It used to be that a trucker was paid by the mile. Which means pay/week varied greatly according to many factors. So, unless pay methods have changed, it is at best disingenuous to peg an annual salary for driving trucks.
An example for my skepticism. A number of years ago I chance caught a program from one of the full time news/entertainment/political campaign networks. Though i don't remember the catalyst for the segments outrage about greedy Walmart employees, I do remember an assertion made as though it were a verified fact. It was stated that a new hire Walmart Associate (which means FNG) hourly pay was $xxx (my memory is that they claimed over 13 dollars per hour, but not sure).
It just didn't sound right to me, so I did a little research. The figure cited on the show was for new Supervisor positions. NOT a regular new hire, which was well below 10 per hour. But it made excellent grist for the 5 economic/social sages discussing the falsified figure, which was no doubt deeply satisfying to many viewers.
