Airline CEO salaries

No, they all bring separate and usually multi-course meals from home and microwave them. We've had to double the number of microwaves in the snack areas in the last year. The line goes out into the hallway during lunch. And the lights dim...

This will not end until we stop drinking the Republicrat koolaid and demand our congress regulate this bs!

Wrong! This nation is filled with regulations. When you build a house, you have to comply with regulations; when you see a doctor, he must comply with regulations.. when a pilot is licenses he must comply with regulations. Well written, common sense regulations for CEO pay vs his workers isn't slippery at all.
Being like Sweden where everything is government controlled isn't very good, sure...... but having unfettered, unchecked "free market" tyranny is equally or arguably worse.
The truth usually lies someplace in the middle, and in moderation.. CEO pay, and the castration of unions today in the US is not a case study in moderation.

Wow, CE750 gets it. I am a little farther right than Ronald Reagan and I agree with you. The dems are bought a paid for by the poor who's vote counts even though they are sucking the government dry and the Reps are bought and paid for by big business. What the hell do we do now?

Don't you dare go against the partly line grain in this country today.. Even billionaires like Ross Perot didn't have a chance.

Just trying to be of service here, but I believe overt political talk is prohibited in these forums. It's a good thread and I don't want it to get nipped.
Anyway the last century is replete with examples of what happens when regulation is lacking, and government is the correct agency to do it.
CE750 has the idea in saying that rules are everywhere, not because anyone wants more rules but because where there are not enough rules abuse tends to occur and proliferate. I think we have an unchecked situation when a CEO makes 400 times what I make, plus 33% of my actual salary because I was forced to make wage concessions during hard times. I am not against unlimited salaries for those who are so lucky, but they should be moved into a very serious tax bracket because they couldn't have done it without the help of the rest. It is unethical to let one person walk away with all the riches, when those earnings required the participation of an army of hard workers to produce them.
