Now the degree in severity is different, but the definition is the same. I presented a definition of slavery, you did not dispute that definition.

The “choice” that exists is that you can leave if you pay $2350, if you choose not to pay you go to jail. That is not a choice. You have no choice in paying if you wish to leave. Why is it that someone who is “free” and wishes to leave should not be allowed to leave.

chattel slaves don’t have that choice. Your provided “definition” (and comparing income taxes to slavery) is absurd.

Slavery encompasses more than chattel slaves, in fact the majority of slaves were not chattel slaves throughout history. You are simply ignorant of history.

And yet you provide no refutation, nor alternate definition. You must pay taxes either way, there is no choice in the matter.

It was made clear in the very beginning of this particular discussion that it was about slavery, not specifically chattel slavery.

It's called social contract, not slavery. You are free to buy your own island outside of the US (there are ones for sale) and set up your own infrastructure, medical services, emergency services, education system, standards and measurements, inspections, health services, national defense, etc. Then you'd be free of the burden of social contract. No one is going to come after you for doing so (unlike a slave running away).
And all known land is claimed under some government or another or regulated thereby.

I am not an anarchist because I believe some minimal amount of government is necessary to provide justice. This is indeed contrary to the idea that taxation is theft. Thus as the Declaration of Independence states "a more perfect (system)" meaning that there is no such thing as a perfect system.
Ideally the government would only do the things that the private sector couldn't, or shouldn't, meaning courts, police, and maybe defense. Most of that could be handled with user fees but there is also a fair part of it that would have to be funded through taxation. Taxation is theft, and thus evil, so it's a matter of degree. Which is why the government should be kept as small and minimal as possible.
