That article is written from the perspective of an hourly wage earner - not someone who considers the revenue generated by a pilot moving airplanes.
It's true that you get what you negotiate, but carrying in a personal income mentality to the bargaining table when you negotiate a share of corporate revenue is a recipe for failure. Especially considering that pilots can have a such huge impact on operating revenue.

Of all the crap I have ever read in my life, this article definitely tops numero uno as the biggest amount of horsecrap my brain has ever had to process. Whoever wrote that trash has certainly never worked any of those jobs. What do they expect people to make in those professions?!??!?! *******ing $20,000 a year? Give me a break! Engineers make more than pilots! That bozo needs a reality check.

But seriously, I honestly cannot understand the kind of people who would agree with this. In this line of work, if we do not perform our jobs to a level within a small margin of perfection, people die, and usually in large numbers. There is no real margin for error. If society actually believes someone could be overpaid for this kind of responsibility, then we are more ********* than I thought.
