Ryanair boss plans £7 tickets to America
Wow, £7 for a ticket. Last time I was in London, my tea and muffin cost that much.

A fleet of 50 new transatlantic airplanes would cost at least (bare minimum) $5 BILLION dollars. Even at the cheapest of carriers, CASM's are near 10 cents. That is the cost to fly one seat one mile. Talk about a 3,000 journey, and it costs $300 ONE WAY PER SEAT. That is assuming they fill EVERY SEAT on the flight. What will they charge for bags ($20, $40, $100...). How about taxes (about $250 according to the article).
