Pity, that. Every forum should have some prickly brat to constantly brag about where they live or how much they pay in taxes.

What does this have to do with her? Start a thread called captain mark if you want to talk like that

I guess I will have to take her place.
The SF Bay Area is so awesome. The high temperature fluxuates between 60 degrees and 80 degrees all year long. The lowest low hardly ever goes below 32 degrees. SF is known for being one of, if not the, most beautiful city in the country. Housing is a great investment here...

Sorry. I think you made that comment because of her remarks about the bay area. Must be because you are jealous. I just tried to make you more jealous.

A solid effort, but I'm quite happy being from San Diego. SF is a tad cold for my tastes. Good for occasional visits.

Default Love thine enemies

I enjoyed Skygirl's posts, but even if I didn't, her absence would be regrettable. Who wants to read only posts which agree with one's own pre-existing ideas? Nothing to be learned there, and it's boring. We should be grateful for our opponents, otherwise we have no competitive mission. That's why, as a military officer, I named my cats "Boris" and "Ivan".

People have been saying that for years. Imagine what they said about SF when it was the center of the hippie movement. SF will always be a great city. (San Diego is not bad though)

Tom; Received this msg, via someone else at the beginning of last month. This, apparently is the reason for "Skygirls" absence.

I wanted to drop you a note to tell you what happened to me on APC. I logged on earlier this week to discover that my access to the major, regional, cargo, and other forums on the top half of their page, had been removed. I received no explanation and wrote the moderators on APC - they did not reply to my message. Wild4TheUniform had her access yanked, also with no explanation. We both were able to log on to send and receive private messages but our mail boxes had been cut down to only 10 messages, both sent and received. We also were able to view the pilot lounge forums, as well as respond to them while logged on, but could not view the major forums unless we logged out.

I have no idea why my access was yanked, other than rather argue with some yayhoo who made a comment about my divorce (of which he knows nothing about), I simply told him to "bite me." Meanwhile CargoBob calls everyone posting about the emergency landing at DFW a "***** idiot" and he is allowed to continously insult people. Today I discovered that my access was completely yanked. I no longer wish to participate in a fascist nazi forum and am no longer there. Unbeknownst to me, others were watching my treatment on APC unfold, and were disgusted by it. I received an invitation by an airline captain to join another aviation forum where I have been warmly received and welcomed. This site forums.jetcareers - Powered by vBulletin welcomes EVERYONE of all races and sex. It is operated by a Delta 767 pilot and his wife, who seem very nice! I've been exploring it a bit and it seems MUCH more friendly and FUN! They even host get-togethers, etc. Wild has joined me there this week, Mzkat, and so far 4 major captains from APC. What happened to me reminds me how they treated a female cargo pilot on APC last summer. They viciously attacked her and when she tried to defend herself, they yanked her access as well. I am content to let APC remain a good ole boy bubba website, while I participate on this other forum. They also have many more participants. You might want to check it out. There are many familiar faces from APC on there. If you wouldn't mind, could you please copy and paste this message and send it on to Joel Payne and TomGoodman? I always liked and respected the older gentleman and I want them to know what happened to me.

Other than that, all is well here by the bay, and I am really enjoying my new place right on the water in Tiburon! It is wonderful to lie in bed and look at the Golden Gate Bridge, the City, and Angel Island all at once, while listening to the waves lap ashore! I know I am one lucky little gal to have found this place. Sometimes nice people do win I guess...:-).

Paul and I do not ban members or adjust member permissions lightly. If someone is banned, I can tell you that there was a compelling reason.

We always warn people first, unless their post was excessively offensive and in blatant violation of forum TOS. Ask the 99.5% of members who haven't been banned, I'm sure they're thankful that we deal aggressively with those who degrade these forums with personal attacks.

Our goal is simple: to provide a professional forum experience, keeping carpet-bombing and personal insults to a minimum. If a pilot finds that kind of behavior fun to engage in, there are other forums out there that will allow you to let it fly.
