FIRST 1800 FT OF RY 18 DETERIORATING WITH POT HOLES AND SEVERE CRACKING.
1 ASPHALT SURFACE IS ONLY 2 INCHES THICK. PAVEMENT STRUCTURE CAN ONLY SUPPORT LIGHT LOAD SINGLE WHEEL ACFT. HEAVIER ACFT MAY CAUSE IMMEDIATE STRUCTUAL DAMAGE TO THE DETERIORATED SURFACE AND MAY GENERATE FOD.
Guess that means "NO 707's!!!" In the nicest way possible

Few years ago I flew some people to DAL to meet up with JT for a book signing. I asked if I could come along.
Was allowed to go to the back of the bldg where he was arriving. He met all the big whigs that were standing there and then I was introduced to him as their pilot.
He dropped everything he was doing with them and wanted to talk flying!
No kidding, they were wanting him to go inside, where a thousand screaming women were waiting and he delayed it, as he really just wanted to talk flying.
We spent a good 15 minutes talking about the 707, etc. He was a real treat to talk to, very friendly. Just wish my bosses hadn't been standing there, so I could have begged for a job! I'd love to fly that 707!!
